Eurovision 2016 : Denmark | Record 982 Songs Submitted

A record breaking 982 songs have been submitted in Denmark to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden.

The submission numbers from Denmark beat the previous record set in 2014 of 872 songs. Jan Lagermand Lundme the Head of the Danish selection said that he feels the numbers of submissions has increased thanks to DMGP becoming a more attractive contest, with the Cutfather being involved in the selection he has drawn new talent to the show.

DR will now listen to all of the submissions before selection around 10 songs to go through to the live final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2016 on February 13 in Horsens,
